Abstract

The contemporary business landscape demands structural changes that keep pace with ongoing technological transformations. Therefore, this research aims to analyze the integration of emerging technologies in the strategic management of logistics and supply chain management, considering the pillars of Industry 4.0 and digital transformation processes. Methodologically, this research adopted a qualitative approach, of a basic nature, with a descriptive purpose and a cross-sectional temporal perspective, using documentary and bibliographic research as data collection techniques, complemented by content and comparative analysis. The results of this research show that enabling technologies—IoT, Big Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Robotic Process Automation (RPA), and cloud computing—operate interdependently in the transformation of logistics processes, generating concrete gains in visibility, traceability, and operational efficiency. However, the comparative analysis of the literature demonstrates that successful technological integration is not limited to the adoption of digital tools, being conditioned by organizational factors such as digital culture, technological maturity, and professional training. It was also identified that data-driven decision-making constitutes a central vector of competitiveness, provided it is accompanied by effective integration between supply chain partners. Thus, the structural challenges — especially evident in the Brazilian context — reinforce the idea that the digital transformation of logistics is a gradual, non-linear process dependent on dynamic organizational capabilities.
